In-Home Care Services
Do you or your loved one need assistance with the ADLs ( Activities of Daily Living)? These include:

Functional mobility, which includes the ability to walk and transfer in and out of a chair or bed. Essentially, it's the ability to move from one place to another as a person goes through their daily routines.

Personal hygiene, oral care and grooming, including skin and hair care.

Showering and/or bathing.

Toileting, which includes getting on/off toilet and cleaning oneself.

Dressing, which includes selecting appropriate attire and putting it on.

Self-feeding

It may be that you or your loved one needs assistance with the IADLs ( Instrumental Activities of Daily Living ). Some examples are:

Care of pets

Communication management

Driving and community mobility

Paying bills or writing checks

Health management and maintenance

Home cleanliness

Meal preparation and clean up

Safety procedure and emergency responses

This is where we at Sheppard's can be of assistance. We are available for as few as 4 hours at a visit to 24 hours a day, 7 days week. We are available to you when you should need us, whether if be short or long term, weekends or holidays. ​ Schedules are designed around you and your needs, wherever you call home.

​Who pays for this service?
Our services are considered custodial, not medical. With that being said, health insurance will not cover our cost for most people. Many long term-care insurance plans will, depending on the design. There is also additional funding options available that we can explore together.
